A Deserving Vacation Getaway

It is always a great idea to take a vacation every now and then to at least rescue yourself from all things worldly, where life’s inconveniences tend to alter the way we humans see and do things.
It is not a bad idea either to take that much-deserved vacation to save yourself for that short period from the aggravations of Liberian politics so that when you return as my wife and I did, you are free and ready to pursue whatever you once did with your life that suits your soul.
My lovely wife, Geebly Sungbeh, and I did just that during the week of May 2, when we vacationed in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the Spanish-speaking US state where every street and interstate signage is written in Spanish accommodating enough to make vacationing there a pleasant and worthy experience.
A nearly three-hour flight on JetBlue from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to Boston Logan International Airport was a smooth flight. After a brief layover, we then connected to another JetBlue flight for the nearly three-hour flight to Aeropuerto Internacional Luis Munoz Marin, ending another smooth flight to our final destination to San Juan.
Why San Juan, Puerto Rico, and not Liberia, our country of birth?
Nothing personal against Liberia except that we know our country too well and decided to go somewhere-someplace that we have never visited in our lives which is the best possible response I could give to satisfy the inquiries from some of our curious friends who asked and advised us that our next vacation should be in Liberia.
I respect those opinions which I shared with my wife and will not hesitate about our next vacation decisions and the destinations we choose as we continued to enjoy the blessings of life that we prepared ourselves for and cultivated to reach this stage.
We chose San Juan, Puerto Rico for our vacation getaway with the best of intentions to experience the tranquility of nature, the uniqueness of the exotic historical scenes in the Old San Juan historical district, and the joy of meeting other vacationers, which briefly altered our very complex lifestyles as busy couples.
As MVP vacation owners with Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, we had access to every available indoor and outdoor amenity a resort could offer, including a tour bus and a tour guide who drove us around the city of San Juan and the Old San Juan historical sites.
Having a tour bus and a tour guide driving us around which was all paid for by the resort management company safe us from the headaches of driving ourselves around in a strange city.
Our tour guide was kind, professional, and courteous enough to explain to us where we went, and where we were at any time, and what we were looking at was a welcome relief, especially in a city where fewer people speak fluent English, and we were surrounded by a lot of history.
